Guest: Bob Chien, Ph.D., Head of Community & Marketing of NAOS
Hello, everyone. We are so excited to have you here today. Let’s invite Bob Chien, Ph.D, Head of Community & Marketing of NAOS to introduce “Bringing Real World Assets into DeFi at Scale” to us.
Thanks for taking your time with us today! Could you introduce yourself to our community firstly?
Yes. This is Bob Chien, I’m now the Head of Marketing and community to NAOS finance. Before NAOS, I’m a supply chain/ e-commerce owner and cofounded several companies as well.
I saw the great value in NAOS and I deeply understand the value that NAOS can bring on the table for SMBs so I decided to join NAOS.
We have prepared 12 questions for you to give us a deeper understanding of NAOS Finance today.
12 questions! Wow, that’s a lot, haha.
Hope our members can understand NAOS deeper after the AMA. Let’s begin.
Q1 What are the goals that you are aimed to achieve?
We are creating a decentralized financial network
1. Enables the origination and funding of loans without traditional intermediaries
2. Instills full transparency in the previously opaque risk assessment and loan application process
3. Breaks the geographic boundaries for lenders and borrowers to transact in a borderless fashion
4. Transfers financial value (interest spreads, service fees) from financial institutions to lenders and borrowers
5. Offers the best interest rate on any comparable loan of the same risk profile and terms
6. Transfers custodial ownership of accounts from financial institutions to individuals
7. Democratizes irrefutable and immutable loan performance data that was held closely by centralized institutions
8. Solve the issue of overcollateralization in the DeFi space by leveraging safe, stable and insured assets off-chain to back our investor’s on-chain activities.
9. Accelerates the growth of the overall DeFi ecosystem with real world applications
To accomplish these ambitious goals, we need more than participation from the DeFi community.
We need you!
Thank you :)
Q2 Could you share the recent progress and your future plan about NAOS Finance with us, such as token sale, airdrop plan, staking and so on?
Great great question.
IDO is coming, it’s on 4/30;
After that we will have competition for airdrops, and then testnet will be online in Q2;
Staking protocol will be online in Q2 as well;
Q3 we will have our mainnet online;
Q4 will be integrating with other “chains” and ecosystems.
Q3 When is your public sale?
we do have plan to get listed in CEX very soon
so please follow us :)
Q4 Does NAOS own their own real world assets?
NAOS works directly with fintech partners based all around the world. These partners are fully licensed in their respective and help NAOS evaluate corporate assets based upon their risk profile, balance sheet health and loan requests. We understand some projects might look to “own” the assets, but they run the risk of running into regulatory red tape as things aren’t as cut and dry in the real world. Therefore, we believe that working with origination partners who are not only licensed, but also insured, provides a safety net that other protocols can’t match. Ultimately this is our competitive differentiator.
Q5 Where do the assets come from?
Assets are provided by our asset origination partners situated all around the world. These assets comprise of corporate and institutional debt similar to accounts receivables and purchase orders but may also include supply chain and inventory financing. Our team is actively working with other asset originators in order to bring a diverse set of assets onto the chain. We think this is just the start. As more and more traditional real world companies begin seeing the value that the blockchain can unlock, we think its only a matter of time before we start seeing the flood of businesses. The assets will have different contract terms, and the asset portfolio will be managed so that we are onboarding assets continuously to generate returns for the investors.
Q6 What happens to the holders of NAOS tokens when real world assets default?
The biggest difference between NAOS and other projects are the real world asset volume and how do we do your compliance work. NAOS has financial licenses in 4 countries and can directly connect with traditional companies and borrowers off the chain. On the asset side, we havenearly 600M USD asset originated, that makes NAOS the largest project of RWA on-chain. In addition, the core team all have traditional finance and Internet finance backgrounds, and can evaluate company assets and credit ratings based on their risk status, balance sheet status, and loan requests.
Q10 Who are your investors?
We are lucky to have the supports from the top DeFi funds include Mechanism Capital, Maven 11, SNZ, DeFi Alliance, and funds with trading backgrounds include CMS, Genesis Block, and overseas funds include Spartan Group, Sora Ventures, and domestic Early-stage funds include Youbi Capital and Incuba Alpha. At present, three of the five largest exchanges in trading volume are our investors.
Q11 What’s your progress? Is there any airdrop? Staking?
Yes, we will have staking very soon. Airdrop event will happen after TGE. Follow us to get the most updated news for good stuff.
Q12 What about your project fundraising?
We hope we can have at least beat the average with Polkastarter, but hey, sky is the limit. We do have plan to get listed on DEX very soon so we are looking toward to it.
I believe NAOS has a bright future. The above are all my questions. Now let’s see what our members care most about NAOS.
Currently, NFT is very hot, do you think you will apply NFT technology to your products in the future?
This is a great question. We do apply NFT tech as our core tech to on-board RWAs. Great question.
As an individual user ,In what ways can I contribute to the development of NAOS Finance? Do you have Ambassador programs and what are its benefits?
we will have ambassador programs indeed. We are working on it. Basically we will have ambassadors in different countries, mostly in our target markets to teach ppl how to use our app.
In decentralization, We all know that speed is needed, as is the current problem faced by the expensive Eth Gas Fee and the slowing of the transaction process. what are your plans to deal with this problem on NAOS Finance?
Multi-chain strategy is our core strategy. By integrating with other ecosystem so we can get more users on board. Come join our community, will you?
I’m a developer, and I’m interested in contributing to your project alongsides earning, Do you have any Bug Bounty to check for vulnerabilities?
We will have this program for sure. Come join our discord.
As You know, Many people judge a Project By $NAOS price, What do you have to Say to investors? What’s the plan to increase $NAOS demand?
We have real world assets and real world revenue generating biz model. We already have 2500 SMBs in our network to be our customers. That’s what I will tell our investors. We are ready to change the world.
What can we expect to see from this project in the short-term (at some point in 2021) and 2022 and beyond (long-term goals)?
IDO on 4/30!
Testnet, staking — Q2
mainnet — Q3
onboarding more RWAs
expending NAOS network to more countries with financial licenses.
What is your long-term plan with NAOS Finance early adopters? What are the best ways for community to help you guys out with adoption?
We definitely need community to give us suggestions in product roadmaps and network optimization. This is the power of DeFi, democratization. Together, stronger.
